SOK 24V 150Ah Marine LiFePO₄ Battery: certified for boats, built to run as one bank

The SOK SK24V150PH-Marine is a 24V house battery built for life on the water. It's certified to AS/NZS 3004.2, the standard that covers electrical installations on boats in New Zealand and Australia, and meets IEC 62619, the international safety standard for lithium batteries that 3004.2 calls for. So it stands up when your surveyor or insurer starts asking questions. With 150Ah and 3.84kWh in a single 30kg unit, it replaces a lead acid or AGM bank two or three times the weight, and gives you far more usable power per kilo.

Inside are grade A 150Ah prismatic LiFePO₄ cells rated for 4,000+ cycles, managed by SOK's own BMS, designed around their cells rather than a generic off the shelf board. The BMS dumps its heat into an aluminium heatsink on the case, which is why it can sustain 200A continuous. It watches every cell for over and under voltage, over current, short circuit and temperature, and there's a gas aerosol fire suppression system inside the case that activates automatically if something goes wrong internally.

It's built with boats in mind. A dedicated output can disconnect the whole bank if a fault is detected anywhere in it, and a pre-alarm buzzer sounds when voltage starts getting low, well before the batteries disconnect, so you've got time to start the genset or cut loads instead of everything going dark. The IP67 rated enclosure handles salt spray and damp lockers, though we still recommend mounting it somewhere dry, ventilated and clear of the bilge.

This is where it really stands apart. Link up to 15 batteries in parallel and the whole bank reports to your Victron Cerbo GX as one battery, with one state of charge, one set of charge limits and one set of alarms. Your MultiPlus or Quattro and MPPTs take their charge settings straight from the battery, everything shows up in VRM, and the battery also speaks NMEA 2000 so its data can sit on your chartplotter. Before you buy any lithium house bank, ask whether your Victron system will see one bank or a handful of batteries each doing their own thing.
