Every cable coming off your battery needs a fuse or breaker sized to suit it. If something shorts out, the protection trips before the wire overheats. It’s the cheapest part of any install and the one you really don’t want to skimp on.

That covers MBRF, Mega and Midi fuses with matching holders, DC mini circuit breakers from 10A to 63A, and MCCB breakers from 100A to 320A rated to 1000V.
